Hello everyone! For a moment I'm coming out of my perpetual alienation to post something here on Newgrounds, this community that I've loved so much. Although I could have done it much earlier, I suffered a terrible burnout due to the development of my game: DARK SWORD, which many of you already know.

I'm here today to announce that I've finally published the last update of the game on this page, it was already here on Itch.io but it was very shitty of me not to put it here as well. 

I'm sorry to say that the final boss hasn't received major changes yet, but, the rest of the game has a LOT of new content that if I list it here I'm sure I'll miss something. 

Anyway, I hope you like it, there are still a few bugs and I'll be happy to read and receive your opinions about this update.

Hello everyone! I'm very excited to finally announce that I've released the new version of Dark Sword here, on newgrounds, with new features in most of the game :D

DARK SWORD

Some things I promised are still missing, like the challenge mode, but there are so many new features that I know you're going to like :D, especially the change in the general scenario of the game. I would be very happy if you give it another try or if you play it for the first time, I would be happy to know your opinions and critics :3 as I will continue with the development of course. 

This 0.1 version sets the precedent for future updates of the game, things to come are:

-Improve the menu

-Improve the tutorial

-Rebuild the final boss again.

-Create these new "anteroom" bosses like the one currently in the north.

-Add more easter eggs like the shotgun, maybe more weapons in the game (I was thinking about a staff).

Thank you very much to all the people who have supported the game and have sent me words of support, they really encourage me to continue with this project that makes me so excited.

Hi people! Today I wanted to show you the bosses I have been developing this weekeend :D they will be avaible on the next game update

Hey people of Newgrounds!! I have some amazing news to share with you all! I've just released two new videos and I can't wait for you to see them. The first video showcases the new cinematic that I created that plays when you defeat a boss in the game. I've put a lot of effort into making it look epic and I'm really proud of the result.

The second video gives you a sneak peek of the new boss that I'm currently working on. I'm sure you're going to love this new boss battle just as much as I do!

And there's more! I'm excited to announce that I'm working on a massive update that will take Dark Sword to a whole new level. I'm planning on improving the game's aesthetics with updated graphics and revamping every boss encounter. Additionally, I'll be adding new features and refining existing ones to make Dark Sword even more thrilling to play.

I have to express my gratitude to all of you Dark Sword fans out there. Your support and enthusiasm for the game means the world to me and it's what motivates me to keep working hard and creating new content.

Dark Sword is a passion project that I've been pouring my heart and soul into, and seeing the positive reactions from the community is the greatest reward I could ask for. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continued support and for making this journey so incredible. I can't wait to share all the exciting things I have in store for Dark Sword with you all!

Hello! Today I was curious to look for the name of my game on the internet and I have seen that several pages have put Dark Sword on their sites with ads, so they are making some money with it. I do not know how to react or if this is normal hahaha, those who know about it, what should I do? Does the game protection option work in newgrounds?

I have the doubt because my intention is to polish the game enough to be able to put it for sale later, I do not know if allowing it to be distributed in this way makes it more visible or if I should look for a way to report these sites.

What do you think?

it is worth mentioning that the game has the option to allow embeding disabled.

Hello people! I show up on newgrounds a while later, just to let you know that I have updated Dark Sword! My game. It might be the penultimate update for this game, I've loved developing it but I have another project coming up at the moment! I feel satisfied with all the support I've received from this community and with winning the pixel day 2023, I've learned a lot while creating this game, but something bigger is coming :)

Hi dudes! Just to tell you that in the next update the bullets will not be reflected slashing the sword, I have added a parry feature :D

It works as before, parrying bullets uses your dark energy, I made this change mainly because the player could shoot and slash at the same time infinitely if close enough to a boss, recharging dark energy and spending it instantly
